I'm a longtime bird enthusiast with a background in folklore research and natural history writing. Over the past decade, I've developed a deep fascination with how birds show up everywhere in human culture—from ancient mythology and spiritual traditions to everyday slang and superstitions. I spend time both in the field with binoculars and in libraries digging through historical texts, trying to understand why ravens, doves, owls, and sparrows have such outsized meaning in our collective imagination.
